Web design in Durban, from one person
Search for web design in Durban and you'll find plenty of companies and directories. I'm neither. I'm one person who designs and builds every site myself, so the person you explain your business to is the person who writes the code. There's no account manager in the middle and nothing lost in a hand-over.
Most small businesses aren't invisible because they're bad. They're invisible because nobody built them a front door. A business card gets lost. A social media page belongs to somebody else and changes its rules whenever it feels like it. A website is the one place online that's entirely yours, open at 2am and saying exactly what you want it to say.

What I build
I build advertising websites: sites whose whole job is to sell what you do. That can mean a full site for a growing business, a single page for one service, or a portfolio that does your work justice. Each one is built around the action you want a visitor to take, whether that's a WhatsApp message, a call or an enquiry in your inbox.
For most owners the right starting point is a small business website: your services, proof of your work, answers to common questions and clear contact details. If you're running ads or pushing one offer, a landing page is often the better fit. I'll tell you which makes sense when we first talk.
- Business and advertising sites that explain what you do and how to reach you
- Landing pages with one message and one clear action
- Portfolios and personal sites for creatives, consultants, students and freelancers
- Booking and enquiry flows: contact forms, booking requests and WhatsApp handoffs
- Findable on Google: proper titles, descriptions, headings and speed

What comes with every site
Everything is built from scratch. There's no bloated template to fight and no monthly fee for a page builder you never wanted. I hand-code each site, keep it quick, and test it on a phone as well as a laptop, because most of your visitors will arrive on a phone.
When it's done, it's yours. You own the site and the domain. I hand over the files, show you how it works, and stay reachable if you want changes later. Contact forms and booking requests are set up to land in your inbox properly, so no enquiry quietly disappears.
- Hand-coded from scratch, with no page-builder subscription
- Works properly on a phone, checked on a laptop too
- Page titles, descriptions and headings written so Google can find you
- WhatsApp, call and enquiry buttons where people expect them
- A walkthrough at launch, so you know exactly what you have

How it works, in four steps
First, we talk: what the business is, who you're trying to reach, and what you want someone to do the moment they land on the page. Second, I show you a direction, meaning layout, colour and type, before anything is built. You react honestly, and we adjust until it feels right.
Third, I build it, hand-coded and quick, and you see it as it comes together, not only at the end. Fourth, it goes live: domain connected, everything checked, and a walkthrough so you know how to use what you have. The full process, step by step, goes into more detail on each stage.

Who you'd be working with
I'm a second-year IIE Bachelor of Computer and Information Sciences (Application Development) student. Before that I graduated top of a class of more than 200 in the IIE Higher Certificate in Mobile Application and Web Development at Emeris Education, formerly Varsity College. I started with no coding experience at all, so I learnt every part of this from the ground up.
In 2025 I received the Full Stack Impact Award, the Faculty of Science and Technology Excellence Award at the Emeris Durban North Student Top Achiever Awards. It's an academic award, not a web design industry prize, and I'd rather say that plainly. IOL Education featured my story in June 2026.
My studies covered web development, human-computer interaction, systems analysis, databases, Python and Java, mobile development and information systems. A degree teaches you how to make a site work. The feel of it, like the colour that suits a bakery and not a law firm, is instinct. This website is a working example of how I build.

What does a website cost in Durban?
There's no price list, because a one-page site for a single service and a full site with a gallery, FAQs and a booking form are very different amounts of work. Every project gets a personalised quote based on what your business actually needs. The first conversation is free, and I'll tell you honestly whether a website will help before we talk money.
When you compare quotes, compare running costs too. Every website needs a domain name and hosting, usually paid to the companies that provide them. What a hand-built site removes is the page-builder subscription on top. Ask anyone you're considering to list every cost in writing, including whose name the domain ends up in.

Based in Durban, easy to reach
I'm based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. We can talk on WhatsApp, on a call, or on a video call with screen sharing, where you can see the direction and the build as they come together. So you don't need to be around the corner, and you don't need to take a morning off to sit in an office.
The quickest way to reach me is WhatsApp on 065 838 9320, and I typically reply within 24 hours. Tell me what your business does, where your customers come from and what you'd like them to do, and I'll come back with honest questions, not a sales pitch.
